Default question about brakes with 2006 is250

Hey guys,

so i got a used 2006 is250

it has 140km on it currently

when i press the breaks sometimes it has this faint high pitch noise
sounds like it could be metal rubbing against metal.

it doesn't happen all the time, only when i break hard sometimes.

should i get my break pads changed or looked at?

the used car dealearship said not to worry because everything was looked at before i got the car.

but i don't trust them anymore after my low oil light came on, and they told me i didn't need to get an oil change, since they did all that before hand.

Umm... yeah!! Plus you can just look at the brake pads through the wheels yourself to see how much is remaining.

look at the friction material on the pad and see if it looks like its 3-4mm or more. That's about when I get ready for new brakes.
