They ride pretty good if you customized it to your spec. As far as how low it can go, it'll pretty much let you rest the top of your tire onto the UCA.

Custom in a sense that the spring rates and valving was done to his liking. Only a handful of companies will do that for you.

Well, I help with the development of D2's suspension setup and brake system for the lexus lineup of vehicle from the get go. So I've pretty much been testing and trying out different setup to come with one that's to my liking. It is very different from what D2 offers to the public as my setup is kept by me only. I choose my own spring rate and the valving is valved according to the shock dyno that I provide to D2.

They don't go that low and IMO aren't all that great.

If you want some help finding a coilover setup feel free to shoot us a PM

Does anyone know if the D2z are gas filled because the struts seem hollow and light.

They're a combination of gas and oil like most other brands.

filled with Gas and Oil.. and they go lower than you could possibly drive on it. The standard D2 kit would suffice for everyday drivers, no need for custom spring rates etc, although if you know that you want it really stiff you can change them out to a stiffer spring. But out the box, the standard spring rates are more than adequate IMO, rides smooth without a floaty feel. Have tried them on numerous cars including GS's, LS's and IS's. PM me if you need more info.
