Technically you need shocks but when it comes to rockauto, they're the same thing

Get KYB at minimum. What springs are you planning to use?

Well they have shocks under shocks absorber for front and rear then they have struts under strut assembly, if you go on their site you will see what i mean. I was planning on using the stock springs, is this a bad idea? Im not too familiar with lexus, ive never had to do anything on this car besides brakes and a timing belt so im learning fast here because my front end needs an overhaul and i need new shocks or struts lol

I know what you mean. They mislabeled it. The 'struts' they have listed are actually shocks. We don't use struts on our cars, at least not in the same sense as a McPherson strut.

so the 2 black monroes are the only thing that they carry for the lexus then, because we cant use the KYB ones which are sold under "shocks"?
