Help! SPC Control Arms installed now 1" higher WTF?
I installed my new control arms this weekend. The front now sits 1" higher. I thought it would settle but after driving and sitting for 24hrs there is no change. Could some of it be the camber setting? I set the camber adjustment about the middle of the adjustment range. It looks to have changed it from slightly negative camber with oem control arms to slightly positive camber.
Is there a settling period for new control arms?
I am maxed out on my coilover on my right front and only have about 1/4" on Left front. If these don't settle I am going to have to go with RCA's in the front.

Yeah, Everything went back just as it came off. It was only 3 bolts per side. Castle nut on the ball joint, and 2 control arm bolts. I did change from OEM to SPC adjustables. Both sides changed the same amount. It makes me think it is something with the design of the Control arms/ Ball joints or camber adjustment on the control arms.
I didn't notice any change in ride height after installing mine. I've been running them for about a month now and love them. You must have done something wrong when installing them. Its raining here in jersey or else id post a pic up for you. Make sure you get an alignment done asap too.
I went back through the instructions and the only thing I did different was that i did not load the suspension before tightening the two control arm bolts to the body. I am going to back the bolts off and load it and retighten tonight. I can't imagine how that would change he height but I am going to try it.
I am going to get it aligned as soon as I get the height situation straight. My two front tires are out of round and are getting replaced also.

Anytime you mess around with rubber bushings, you need to reset them. Even when adjusting coilovers, reset those bushings otherwise you'll eventually destroy them. Those bushings are being twisted at the moment.
On a side note, I find most people wait for their suspension to 'settle', when in reality, they're actually waiting for their bushings to deteriorate.

I backed the bolts out and sat the car on jack stands under the lower control arms then tightened them back up with the suspension loaded today. I feel better about the bushings but I am still baffled at the 1" change in height.
It's only 3 bolts besides the camber adjustment. Could the camber adjustment make a change in height? I would not think so but at this point I don't know.

I talked to SPC today. They said about a 1/2 inch of lift is normal. I think this combined with the change in camber may be the reason behind this. Thay are going to do some reasearch and call me back later today as to why it is almost 1" on my application.
I am now in the market for front RCA's and a rear camber kit while I am at it. This thing is going to end up costing me a fortune.
