Lightbulb used coilovers ?!

i'm getting a deal for a set of used Tein & HKS coilovers for about 500$ (Canadian) for my 1992 Lexus Sc400.

I'm wondering if this is a good price for a used set?

Does anything go wrong with a set of coilovers?

If I want to adjust them and don't have the correct tool, can it be done?

Thanks in advance..

Teins can be re-built for aprox $100 for each corner FYI...
also, "is $500 a good deal?" depends on what kind of Teins they are... find out 1st.
i know nothing about HKS... sorry lol.

those look like tein basics and someone here in the classified section has a set of tein basics brand new out the box for $150.00 more than those and that IMO is a better deal

Another SC owner in Ontario, nice!

I wouldn't be mixing and matching front and rear coilovers from different brands unless you know the rates of each. I was looking at used stuff before I got my coilovers but decided new was best. At the same time, I wouldn't pay $500 for that specific set used. For used suspension, your best bet is sourcing it through the member classifieds on here or Supra forums. For new stuff on a budget, I'd recommend the H&R street performance coilovers, or Tein Basic coilovers. Good luck.

Also, check the Canadian section and come out to the monthly meets if it interests you. I'm usually the only SC there.

Yes, but supra coilovers are slightly shorter on basically all brands. They still work on the sc though
