Ohlins coilovers?
Has anyone used these coilovers before or even heard of them? I know QUEST POWER collaborated with them to create their own line of coilovers using Ohlins shocks.
I also know Ohlins is huge with the motorcycle community. I can probably get them in Singapore for right about USD2,500. I know the price is a little steep and I am just wondering if the performance matches its price.
....not to mention the "cool and rare" factor. (I *yawn* at Tein)

Either that, or I can get the "more boring" HKS Hiper Damper LS for about 1/2 the price and I can get them locally. (yet more savings, coz I don't have to fly to Singapore to pick up the coilovers)
Grrr....."rare and cool but expensive" or "easy and local but boring".... argh, the choices!

Joko, USD2500 is a bit expensive. I do not know what the exact market price is for the Ohlins, but for USD2500 you can pick among many different brands, like C-one, Tom's, HKS, ...
It also depends what coilovers you are looking for. You cannot compare the Ohlins with the HKS LS. THe Ohlins are much stiffer than the LS, in terms of spring rates they are much closer to the HKS Hipermax II.
You need to decide if you want to go for more comfortable/softer setup or stiffer.
If I am not mistaken, Ohlins is also the manufacturer of the Falken tires.
Where are you located? Send me a PM, perhaps I can help you out. I am in Hong Kong.

Hey, bud. Thanks for the offer. But I decided to go with the HKS LS precisely because I don't want a ride that's gonna rattle my ribcage. Besides, the Ohlins at almost double the price is a little hard to swallow. But I see that you being in HK (and the actual availability of lexus dealership there...Crown Motors?), you maybe able to help me with stuff. Do you have AOL IM or any other instant messaging programs?
Hit me up at AIM: jtanoyo1 or MSN messenger: jtanoyo@hotmail.com.
Cheers.
