Stripped stud replacment: how difficult??
Just got my dubz put on, and much to my dismay, 4 or 5 of my studs appear to be stripped. I would assume the best and safest course of action is to just replace the stripped studs. How difficult of an undertaking is this???? I've changed many a wheel and just got done painting my calipers, but I'm never gone any deeper than that. Any help??? I did a search on this to no avail.
Thanx,
Eric

not hard
Not that difficult of a job. The studs push out and the new ones press back in. Now of course nothing is as easy as it sounds on paper. A nice stud retracting tool would make things easier. Most people like to just hammer the hell out of it to push it out. Im not a fan of hammering on my Lexus.

THX, Gentlmen.
I may just take it to the stealership and have them do it. I'd rather leave rotor/caliper removal to the pro's.......
JacobT - as soon as it stops freakin' raining here in PA I can take some pics......there the wheels that CamRen has on his ride...Dronell Ca-05's 20 inch. My GS3 runs like a tugboat now, even with an ECU reset ....oh well, i guess that's the price you pay for dubzz
Thx,
Eric
