Hello everyone, I am thinking of just changing out all my control arms because I too have am waiting on response from TM Engineering and I really can't be bothered. My question is, has anyone heard of CTC and or MTC brand Control arms, Mark at Shox.com can get these for a very good price but I need to know if they are quality parts. By the way, if anyone is thinking about getting Bilstein Coilovers Shox.com is the place to go, great Customer Service. Also is Mevotech a good brand

I got front SPC upper control arms for christmas and started attempting to install them. The instructions say to break the upper tapered nut and remove the old factory arm. How is this done. It seems to be incased in metal. Anybody who has prevoius DIY experience please give guidance.

Do these have rubber or urethane bushings? I had SPC balljoints on my honda a long time ago, is there any clearance issues between the nut on the top of the balljoint and the inner fender? My car has factory ride height and I am considering these as a cheap oem replacement alternative....as long as I can retain all charastics of the oem part. Thanks for your help!Originally Posted by CircuitMS

OK, I figured it out on those SPC upper control arms. After re-reading the instructions and reading many posts on the club lexus forum DIY. The instructions they are referring to as "breaking",the upper nut really means in detaching the threaded screw that goes through the top of the spindle arm..Athough the instructions make reference to removing it, it's not specific to tell you that you will need a pitman arm puller in order to do this. It took less than a minute to accomplish this when I used the right tool.
