Default New Brakes!

New rotors, LS400 calipers and pads.

Several days of hand polishing later...

Love the new stopping power and bling.

Anyone with drilled slotted rotors have steering wheel vibration when braking? Maybe I just need to drive on them for a while.

did you coat them with anything to seal them? if not then have fun polishing them all the time.

I left them as raw aluminum. I read that clear coat would make it not as shiny and just get in the way if I wanted to redo them again. I don't mind polishing them once in the while since I'm already there for my wheels.

I wetsanded from 220, 400, 800, 1000, 2000 grit then polished it with Meguiar's metal polish. I'll check out that Wenol stuff. It sounds pretty good.

The vibrations have stopped after driving it for a few days. Maybe they just needed some breaking in.

Tom! I didn't get a chance to meet you or see your car. I was wondering where you were. Thanks for the compliment.

And here is a full shot.

Now I need something new for the rears.

WOW. Looks a lot better than the OEM brakes behind those wheels.

Brakes look dope chrispy!.. How much did you get those calipers for if you dont mind me asking? Im torn between supra and these.. Im gonna get the front RCA so I can fit either.

Wow, that sucks that the rotor cracked.. Is that because its slotted and drilled? is that a certain brand that cracks like that?
