Default KYB or Bilstein

I have Tanabe springs which struts will be better? KYB or Bilstein.

My drop in the front is 1.8 inch and 1.3 inch in the rear.

Depends on what you're looking for. KYB is a stock replacement, Bilstein sport is just that a sportier shock, Bilstein HD is also a stock replacement. I have KYB with S-tech springs and the ride is great. As smooth as stock but better handling.

I have Bilstein sports and I have to admit sometimes I find the ride pretty stiff. You won't get that cushy smooth lexus ride with these if the road is bumpy. Of course the flip side is that when the road is smooth and twisting, they are great for handling.

Bilstein is more sporty. KYBs is more like OEM but without the float.

Cool

Hi guys, I am thinking of getting my GS4 lower too, but can't decide which way to go on spring. I know I will choose KYB and the spring may be DF210. How much for a set of four for this model of spring DG210, guys? How do you compare the DG210 vs. TTE GS? I am plan to keep the stock rim which is 17" only to low it with a springs. Pls, advise. Thank you, guys.

Default Kyb shocks

Hi Everyone! I need to replace my stock suspension (shocks) on my 99 GS 400. I currently have TEIN springs on the oem shocks. I want to keep the oem ride but without the float. I am looking at getting the KYBs but wanted to know which class of KYB's did you install in our GS's. The "Regular or Super GR2 series"?

If I'm not mistaken, KYB only makes one shock for the 2GS.

Bilstein is life time warranty and KYB is pretty much stock replacement. Bilstein is more sporty and why you need to change shocks if KYB is same as your stock shocks
