My air suspension is HERE!! But, Im a noob
OK guys and gals, I finally recieved my UAS kit. Now, A shop charges me about $600 for install. I am wondering how hard or easy it is yo do the install. My car was in a wreck about 1.5 month ago and I only have liabilty so I have to pay for all repairs, That said, I wanted to buy my Lex an "im sorry" present.
Im trying to see if I can Do it myself and save, lol. I ca change brakes and know how to wire things up. I am very good at figuring out stuff, like this goes here so that must go there. I would appreciate any input or help. I found some threads such as toeb's diy.
There are 2 pieces Im wondering where they go, see pics. Also do I need a digital controller? Please advice, DIY FTW?

Ahh I had mine taken to a shop but but 600.oo is very cheap for an install
I paid 1500.00 for the install and its busted 3 times with wrong style bags , + more $$$
with this said , the first piece you are holding looks to be like the rear portion where you will have to weld in place
the other portions are the spacers I believe ..... I will have more knowledgeable people jump in and post up

The company u bought it from should walk u thru the install or atleast point u in the right direction. No reason to have questions "after" a sale
U should be able to do it. I just walked an SC owner thru an install and he had never seen air suspension before....up in running in a day

Yeah there's quite a bit involved in installing an air suspension. U have to run your air lines thru the bottom of the car, setup your compressors, plumb your air valves, wire up the switch box and gauges or digital meter and finally swap out the coil/struts with the bags and struts.
I would try and do it in sections cuz it can be overwhelming if you try and do everything at once. Take your time and do it right and you wont have any problems.

If you don't have the wiring diagrams look under general install guide.

Like BippuPxr, $600 is cheap for an install when you consider all the hours involved. A digital controller is nice to have and I have the dakota controller on my car.

Checkout pgmotoringusa.com (is it Ok to post company names, I think they're vendors here) Way below the UAS site
Mind giving ME a walktrough of the insatll?
Know any sites that give step by steps? Ill be willing to paypal some $$ for a very detailed walkthrough. Let me know
I downloaded all the PDF's on the site but theyre not model specific. I know that $600 is cheap, but I honestly want to do this myself because I want to take pride in doing it myself. This is coming from a guy that Deatils his car daily, and waxes it every 2 weeks
Thanks for the info.
They do but its not model specific
