Car and steering wheel shakes under hard braking in rain?
Anyone else experience this? I just noticed the other day my car would vibrate and the steering wheel shakes when i step on the brakes semi-hard in the rain even at low speeds. I'm past due for an alignment and i think my rims/tires balance is out of whack. Could this be the issue?

Sounds like it could be water build up on the inner rim.
What kind of rims do you have? If the inner lip is stepped down with a channel down the center then water can build up in there during heavy rain. You should have vibration at high speed in the rain as well, so I'm not 100% this is the issue.
Do you experience any vibration in the dry? It's not raining till Saturday so good time to test this out.

I've heard about the water build up in the inner rim barrel before. I think the theory is the water is travelling at the same speed as the rim so you don't notice its effect until you hit the brake which agitates the water causing tne rim to feel like it is out of balance. Some rims/tires/cars seem to be sesitive to balance issues. I once ran over some duct tape and had some shake. Got home, peeled the duct tape off and everything was smooth again.

i do have vibration in the dry too at highway speeds maybe 60-80mph. The water being trapped in the rim is only for 3 piece wheels correct? I have 19 inch axis pentas btw. I don't think its warped rotors because it doesn't happen in dry weather under braking at all. Thanks for the help so far
