Takes more power to stop the car thus resulting in more rapid brake pad use.

Theoretically yes, but like all things its relative. How much faster will they wear compared to running the stock rims? How does it compare to other drivers with stock rims vs your larger rims? Anyway, what I'm saying is technically because there is more rotating mass, the brakes should have to work a little harder to slow that mass down. However, that doesn't mean your brake pads will show an appreciable increase in pad wear because your braking and driving style will also be a major factor on how long your pads will last. On my RX330 with 20" rims and 255/50/20 tires, my brake pads lasted to nearly 60K miles. I've heard some owners running the stock rims and tires having to replace their brake pads at around 35K miles or sooner.

well in that case if you load lots of stuff in your car will change the wear on brake pads too but like ck6speed it will be hard to notice. but since you have big wheels on and you could feel it's kinda hard to stop then before though.
