Default TSIB Brakes without install

u think i can go to the dealer and just get the brake pads and install them myself or do they have to install it.
i bring this question up cuz im gonna change my rotors to slotted and i dont think they would install my modded rotors w. the dust free pads..

Keep in mind, I got TSB on my 08 Lexus IS250.. It doesnt work well.. IT is worst as same 06-07 brake pad like a massive dust.. Im dissappoint the material made on the pad.. I got the aftermarket brake pads (dont know the name brand and the color of brake pads are blue) which are working.. There are no massive dust and it make me impressive of the material made on the pads..

Then you got the wrong pads.

There's a HUGE difference in brake dust between the stock pads and the TSIB pads.

If you didn't notice a difference then the dealer put the stock pads back on.

Wouldn't be the first guy to report here he asked for the TSIB pads and didn't actually get em. That's why you should check the part # installed after the work is done.

Dude, I work at Lexus dealership as Technician.. I install the TSIB pads on my car.. Then I drove my car within about 5 months with TSIB pads and it came with lot of dust on the rims.. Sure if ya dont beleive me, that's fine.. GOod luck then.. I have a friend that happen this before and he said TSIB pads dont prevent dust..

Yup... the difference is VERY obvious, very quickly.

Original pads= dust within just a couple of days.

TSIB pads= still perfectly clean after a couple of days. (or a week, or longer)

They both stop in -exactly- the same distance (as physics requires) so why NOT use the lower dust ones?

Even Lexus reached that conclusion eventually and they're now standard on the later-built 09s.

This is completely wrong and 99% of people with TSIB pads see a dramatic improvement.

But they won't change my pads on my 07 IS350 because of the high mileage (23K miles), correct?...

LOL.... You have black wheels!

If you had the G-spiders like me... then you could talk about dst-free being for lazy people.
