Default Does this sound like a deal? rotors

HEy guys, well the time has time for me to buy a new rotor since i let my pads get down to the metal. They could get turned, but Ive decided to upgrade to crossed, slotted rotors. The ones in the link sound like a steal, but I dont know about quality. Has anyone dealt with this company? Thanks

I'm using the premium rotors from R1 Concepts. They're pretty nice especially with the Hawk HPS pads.

(i got the Drilled and Slotted ones)

i would recommend them, so far no problem at all with these, I might pick up a set for my mini Van! lol

plus they're local to me also!

how long have you had your r1 concept rotors? i've heard the hats/rotor area has been known to rust after going through water or after rain and sitting for a minute!

Any rotor's hub will rust, even OEM. If you want no rust, either paint the hub, or spend hundred bucks more and buy a set already painted. Even brembo zinc coating will wear out so dont expect it to be rust-free for long.

good god. Another cross drilled rotors thread.

Those rotors are garbage. They don't do one single thing except look bling bling. They are prone to cracking, and the list goes on.

Get some Brembo blanks or go for that bling factor and look forward to cracking your rotors.

My buddy bought cheap ebay rotors and they cracked on him. The reason they are cheap is because there is no method to how they drill them. They will drill thru the veins inside the rotor, which is why they crack.

Brakes should be one of the last things you go cheap on.

Oh, and my Stop Techs havent rusted yet either. 4 years and running.

I've had my rotors on my GS ever since april 08' and until now (20K miles later) it's still in perfect condition. I get compliments on them all the time.
