Question about Teins spring 1.6 drop.

Default Question about Teins spring 1.6 drop.

I was wondering if i had stock rims and i had tein lower springs and had 3 ppl in the back of my seat, would my tires rub?? bcuz it gets too lower after 3 ppl are in the back?

No it does not rub, Ive had a full load and still good. These are the best springs out there for the 2IS IMO, handling, feel, drop is just perfect.

the only way you would rub is if your three rear-seat passengers weighed in excess of 300 pounds...

per person.

yeah, it shouldn't rub. I have road magnets, than it's a 2 inch drop all around, i've had 3 ppl in the back, and no rubbing whatsoever, when through a few bumps, and the car didn't rub either.

all be the 3rd here to say I love the TeinS springs! Perfect drop. Nice ride...and NO rubbing even with an aggressive offset & big tire in the rear now another member is going to rolling all high and mighty with them

ill join the wagon....kinda. my buddy has the tein springs and we have loaded his car with 4 asian girls in the back...no rub but then again total weight of them was prob more like 2 regular dudes

I have to agree the S Techs ride so nice. I have had full loads with 19" rims no problem.

does lowering your car 1.6 with teins decrease the life of the shocks more than with f sport 1in drop??? any info on this would be great..

Nope, bumpstops are what saves shocks. I just would trim a minimal amount instead of cutting them in half.

iirc my installer left the bumpstops the way they were, instead of cutting them as some have recommended...

so the lower the drop doesnt increase the dmg on your shocks?

I had S-techs on my IS300 and after about a year or so they started to sag really bad....

Yes. The more you lower your car, the shorter your shocks will last.
