Default TEIN Coilovers

Guys,

I am having fear that there are signs that my TTE coilovers are dying.

i've notice some leakage on my garage coming from my rear right suspension area (i hope not)

It has been announced that TTE has stopped production for their coilovers (Eek!)

So, you guys with the Teins; which model are you using and what are the differences and their life span? I've been using mine for 3 years (it was used 2 years before my ownership).

Would appreciate your feedback on the Teins before i make a purchase and install

Thank you

Here's a sticky about 3 different Tein coilovers incase you havent read it

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=113963

I've been doing alot of research and I've heard alot of good things about Tein CS. The only thing negative I've heard so far on the CS is they dont drop as low as the others.

you just want Tein? if not try H&R or HKS(RS). they are both really nice from my experience.

Preference is something you should ask yourself then decide which coils you want...ride quality, ride height...etc.

I have the Tein CS v2, purchased it from the member in the above entry...good lookin out 4ntvings! I LOVE THEM. Very COMFORTABLE, hence the 'CS', in all settings. When set to stiffest, no float whatsoever but you can definately feel the road much more and still comfortable. Only drawback is I can't SLAM my ride which I can live with....for now.

I installed a set of Tein CS in one of my co-workers GS400 and the ride was very nice. Stiff/lower but yet still having the comfort of a car. I had flex's in my 240sx and its nice and firm but not so much ideal for daily (I drive about 50miles one way to work)

I had Tein CS on my old SC and had no issues with them. Imo the ride was perfect. You can feel the stiffness but you still have a nice riding car. It's a Lexus, not a hotrod....I want luxury mixed with my sport. Tein CS gives it to you.
I'm really considering buying a set for my GS. I have the Tanabe springs and I'm a little disappointed. They have settled too low and now I have rubbing. With the coilovers, you can raise the car a notch if it settles too much.
