Tein makes good ones. The drop you can choose on Coilovers. You can slam it. Better then springs and wish i went that way first. may end up getting the TeinSS coiloivers.

Hell my Tein CS go a lot lower than I would ever desire, especially if you are going to be running plus sized wheels you can literally tuck tire with the Tein CS and they ride better.

How are the Tein SS coilovers? I'm keeping in mind that this is a $40k car and should ride like one. I rode in a friends s2000 with Bilstein PSS9's and was very impressed with their ride. I would look for that type of suspension for the IS.

Between the HKS and the Tein, which rides better? Are either made in Japan? Btw, anyone know if Bilstein will be coming out with a PSS9 for the IS? I know they're making the F-sport junk, but im asking about a real coilover.

I do think you should define 'ride better' since this question is very subjective. Someone looking for a weekend SCCA car would say a 'stiffer' suspension rides better, someone who uses their car as a daily in traffic would say a 'softer' suspension rides better.

HKS hypermax III CLX. The best in quality and bang for the buck.

If you want the ultimate the Japanese Ohlins are the hot stuff. They are very very stiff but you can handle like you won't imagine.

Everything else will make noises and the car bounce around a lot and they aren't made in Japan.

I've been looking at these a bit....care to provide a mini review....or point me in the right direction if you've already given one?

I'm looking for something that can provide a nice, stable, comfortable ride at all speeds (wife has a bad back), but can also get sporty when pushed.
