Exclamation Suspension Fyi!!

I read on here the other day about someone purchasing Tein coilovers, and when one shock failed on him within the supposed 1 year manufacturer warranty, Tein refused to cover the replacement shock because they said he bought it from a non-authorized dealer! I just got off the phone with Bilstein and they enlightened me to some very similar information. I am purchasing some PSS coilovers for my GS3 and wanted to clarify some warranty info. with the company before I spent over a G on a product with a supposed lifetime warranty. The guy on the phone told me basically the same thing that Tein said. Bilstein's lifetime warrany only covers products that are bought from authorized dealers that only they list on their website. So if you are planning on getting some coilovers (or any suspension product with a warranty) from a dealer that is a non-authorized company, like some .coms (ebay), or even TM engineering who I was planning on getting mine from, Bilstein's lifetime warranty is VOID!!!! Make sure to buy your products from authorized dealers if you want to keep your warranty!! Just my two cents.

i thought it was well known that you have to buy from an authorized dealer to get warranty.

In any case, I usually buy big expensive products from authorized dealers for that reason.

I thought that if you have a lifetime warranty on a product, then the company will always honor the warranty as long as you can prove that you bought legit.
