Default Brake Pad Question

I've been reading threads about using EOM pads to replace brakes. Does this mean going to the dealer to buy pads or is there a brand that is equivalent? I have a 2004 GS 300. The original pads lasted 58,000 miles!
Thanks

You can buy any brand of pads you want. Some are better than others. I'm not a fan of OEM pads because they dust quite a bit. There are just too many brands of pads out there to list.

yeah the OEM pads are semi-metallic. they'll cause lots of dust and eat at your rotors. i'm trying to see if sales is willing to set up a group buy for Akebono ProACT. hopefully i'll find out something soon.
