I'm going to call the dealer and ask about the calipers. It is weird that they'd change the calipers.

Do you have any before and after pics of your calipers???

Does it say anywhere "Replaced Left / Right Calipers" ??

BTW - Here is a quick part number (snap shot) search, thanks to Carsons NEW OEM Online Catalog...

Doesn't look like a caliper to me ...... especially for only $36

No dust - very very happy.

Performance - sucks *****. I can really feel the different on both 250/350. But for normal driving is ok. Not consider people who drives bumper to bumper freeway if you are too use to the old pads. Take some time to get use to the braking.

If you expect to have your face planted on the windshield when you press on the brakes like a 6 year old girl, you will be disappointed.

I think it's bizarre so many of you youngsters have no idea what real performance brakes feel like. You'd all hate the brakes on the MkIV TT Supra because they require so much more effort than the ISx50 do. Motor Trend called the Supra brakes the "best brakes we have tested in 30 years of new car testing." Flat freaking amazing you'd complain about feel with the new pads.

If it isn't power-assisted to the point that I can control it with my mind, then it must not be working well :P

I haven't heard anyone else mention that they got new calipers with the TSB.
As for performance, the new pads brake very well, and should be fine for street driving. They do seem a little easier to modulate, and the brake pedal has a slightly firmer feel to it when braking. And the dust is gone! Normally I'd have brake dust build up that was noticable after one day, not anymore! I'm glad I did the TSB, and glad that Lexus took care of us concerning this issue.

maybe they just wiped it and without the brake dust it looks new. hahah

im going in for my first 1000miles service and im going to ask if i can get my brakes replaces because i have brake dust.

Thanks to all for posting this TSIB. I will call my dealer for an appointment very soon. I also wonder about the rotor life with this pad swap.

I had the TSIB done and really noticed a difference in braking in the sense it was worse. I prefer the grabby feel of the original brakes. I actually paid to have new OEM brakes put back on and am much happier despite the extra dust.

I only would complain because I know how the original OEM brakes felt. It would be different if I started with the low-dust brake pads.

How many miles did you drive on the low dust pads before giving up on them? I suspect that you would have enjoyed the low dust pads if you had given them 1K miles to get good on you.

Anyone in IL with a non-TSIBed set of pads? I wanna do a test to settle this once and for all.
