hey, i'm looking for a slight drop while retaining as much of the oem comfort as possible. i have back problems and the my tein flex's aren't helping when i go over pot holes. the flex's handle very well as compared to other gs's i've driven. i need a soft ride with a slight drop.

i was looking into ltuned but in some pictures the back looks lower than the front. does anyone know if the nf210's will do the same thing?
based on what i want, is the nf210's a good choice or should i be looking for something else?

You're on the right track with the DF210's with Bilstein HD shocks which should increase your performance but are designed as a direct replacement. The only other direction to consider is Eibach springs with L-tuned shocks.

Good luck!

i ordered the nf210s and kyb shocks, i think that will fit me the best.

bigbea - i saw you selling your lexus, that sucks man. i remember going to the bbq a few months back and now 3 of the cars i saw are in the classifieds.

chrises - i will never adjust the ride height, i don't care for the "benefits" that coilovers have. i want a soft stock ride with minimum drop. i have been riding on the flex's for the last year. 10k miles later, they're just too rough on my back. they've been great for what they are - the turns are great, no body roll, adjustable damper, adjustable height (which i only did once to raise it cause the guy before had it dropped super low)...all that good stuff that i don't need. i'm looking for the most affordable way to the soft ride, if i sell my flex's for $800, i'll pretty much be breaking even after parts and labor for the springs/shocks. if i go with the cs, i'll be spending way more.

This the exact same setup I have and I don't have back problems, but I wanted to keep the comfort feel. I love the combination.

can you post some pics of your car? did you have to buy anything else with the shocks and springs? i think mounts or something like that?

i have never had that opportunity to drive a stock suspension gs, but i'm sure its better than my flex feel. i want to feel like i'm in a luxury car, not avoiding bumps wherever i go.

Strange to see a GS430 with 98-00 tails. Looks good.
