Default NEWB suspension install question....

I have a newbish question. My friend that has a is300 said that after he reinstalled the LCA on his car, he used a jack and pushed the LCA up then let it come back down. He said he did this because the balljoints wouldn't break. Is this necessary or can i just reinstall the LCA, put the wheel back on and go?

I need this answered before I can start my suspension install.

I have no clue what he was talking about...

I will sometimes get a jack or something to push up on the LCA so that its easier to tighten, but thats about it..

Ok, so to recap, after I install the coilovers I just reinstall the LCA, put the tire on and go? Theres nothing that needs any kind of adjustment, right?

You should jack up the LCA until it is at normal ride height, then tighten the bolts. This ensures the OEM rubber bushing are not under constant torsion at normal ride height.

Not necessary with poly bushings, as they rotate around a center sleeve.
