Default roberuta cup

has anyone got any hard info on these?

http://www.topsecretjpn.com/roberuta.shtml

it's not an airbag setup like universal air or airrunner, but is a can system that uses the standard air and compressor w/tank. you install it between the spring and top mount of your coilover. main purpose is to raise/lower the car for ground clearance or slam it when parked, not for ride , which is what the coilovers are for.

and it's expensive... about the same price for an airrunner setup, if not more

and i think you have to order new shorter springs to make up for the difference in space the cans take up on the coilover.

comments?

oh wow, its like only the air ride part of Tanabe's Cobra. But $2610, $1595, and $870 for the whole thing seems a little expensive....I'd love to have it, but not when I'm a student.

I looked into this earlier this year and spoke with someone from Top Secret about doing a custom set up. In the end it would be cheaper to just purchase the Bold World parfume cup system, which uses roberuta technology. That is the same system TLW uses on his car and he would be the one to contact if you want this system. It will run close to 5K but you have to pay if you want to play.

And if you want to go big baller get the ARAGOSTA system. You don't even want to know the cost for this... It is more of a race version system.

i'm a bit lost on how this is more expensive?

for me, all i want is the ground clearance up front to clear ramps, curbs, and the like, not for dropping it to the frame. i already have tein CS coilovers, and i just want the front roberutas... what am i missing here $$$ wise?

i am on the lowest setting on my CS's. with my bodykit, the lowest point on my car is barely 2.5" clear of the ground. i don't want to use the roberuta kit to go lower. i want to use it to raise the car up at a moment's notice to get over curbs and such, which is what the cups were meant for.

i don't know if you've seen any of the top secret demo cars, but all of them have the roberutas installed. when they come of their transports, they just lift the car and don't need extra ramps or removal of their bumpers, etc.
