Tein Flex and stiffness controller for $1500
Do you think this a rip off? Tien Flex coilovers and stiffness contoller for $1500. They are used off a wrecked GS 300. Shop said they woul also install them for another $200. Not including the the stiffness controller, I believe that is what it is called. It is a box that controls how stiff you would like to adjust your ride. What do you guys think? Good deal or not? They are not damaged at all and the car they came off was rear ended.

id say if you could get them to sell them to you for $1500 installed both coilovers and edfc its a deal because i found out that most shops around the area im in charge about $80 and hour and said it would take atleast 3 hours of labor to install the edfc alone. so my friend and i installed it and it took even longer but works like a charm..
also it depends on how long the coilovers were used.. the longer they were used the less they are worth.

Anything under $200 in labor is a good deal on coilovers. The controller thing your talking about is called an EDFC (Electronic Dampning Force Controller) and is made by Tein to work with their coilover setup.
On another note, what kind of damage was done to the car the tein's were installed on? If there is any kind of wheel/control arm/heavy impacts around the suspension area I would stay away. Not worth dropping a bunch of cash on some tweaked suspension.
