Default Replacing VSC/ABS speed sensors

Apparently, when I put in my Tein CS suspension the speed sensors got cut later on that day.

Has anybody fix this problem and how much did it run?

The dealer did not want to fix it because they say it will be a recurring problem and charged me $100 for my trouble. Needless to say I won't be going back to my dealer again.

Is is going to happen again and is there any remedy?

Thanks guys.

This is actually a common problem when doing struts replacements. You have to be careful with that wire. I know its not cheap. How did it get messed up?

The light went on when I hit a big pothole. It was raining a lot last month, so the roads are not up to par.

any progress to report (on the replacement wire from Carson Toyota)?

My wife just had the L-tuned springs & shocks installed yesterday and reported that the VSC kicked in a couple of times driving home when she went around some mild turns in the road.

I'm curious to hear/learn if the speed sensor can be permanently damaged or if this just a temp issue until the ECU is reset.

if the wires are pinched, you may get away with moving it. if it's streched and damaged, you need to replace the whole line. it cost a lot of money for this sensor.

Carson has the part for $171 plus shipping. I am going to get it from them because of their past great service. I damaged both sides, not good.

I've replaced the speed sensors on both sides, but the VSC ABS lights are not going out. Do I have to reset the ECU?

Try disconnecting the battery for a few. You may have to get the codes cleared off.

Reset the ECU, but it still there. You think I have to get it done with a scanner?

There is a post on this board that outlines the procedure to clear the code by using a series of brake depresses. I will try and find it.
