Default New Struts and Alignment

just a quick question for you guys. after installing new struts on the car, do i need to let the struts settle for a period before i do an alignment or can i just immediatly go get an alignment? i know that if you get new springs installed that you should let them settle for about a week or two before you get an alignment. for my setup, i'm using my oem springs with new struts. thanks guys.
