Default What Next?

I'm happy with my suspension mods on my GS430 to date. But I want to make it to handle even better. Here are the mods in order of install:

Diazen Sways
Front and Rear upper STB's
Bilsten PSS coil overs
17" L-Tuned Rims w/ Toyo tires

I'm very impressed with how this car takes corners now. What do you think should be my next investment in the supsension? I want this car to hang w/ M-5's at an autocross event.

FWIW, you should already hang with the M5s 'in the twisties' of an autocross. Of course you'll be breathing exhaust on any straightaway. You've already got the stuff with biggest 'bang for the buck' and anything else is incremental IMO.

For what's left available after your list, in my order of preference...

1) L-tuned Steering ECU (low $$, easy to do and may get harder to find (not because its best)). Can't remember what year GS430 you have - you may already have this in 2002+
2) TRD or Tom's Front Lower Chassis Brace
3) Tom's Six Link Suspension Kit
4) Tom's Rear Lower Chassis Brace

Dave's comments are right on. Of the mods he lists, I'd recommend 3 and 4 a great deal especially if you already have the rear STB.

Are your 17's staggered? If not I'd go with a larger wheel/staggered setup.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the feedback guys. I just purchased the weels and tires and they are not staggered. So I'll not be changing these anytime soon, but will keep in mind when it's time for new tires.

I see the TRD rear lower brace is much less expensive than TOM'S. Any reason to pay more for the TOM'S? And the front lower brace, the car already has one so I'm guessing the an aftermarket front brace is better? Worth the price as an upgrade?

I didn't think TRD made a rear lower brace for the GS, can you post a link? There are two Tom's varities, you want the 'open' type unless you have a Toms or similar exhaust.

I've read from some folks they prefer the Tom's front LCB because it has two extra mounting points. I've only had the TRD so I can't comment.

Default Trd

TRD only has a front brace that I've seen. Just curious if the TOM's front brace was worth the extra money? I'm headed to the track for the 1st time this weekend to see how the car does. I will mostly likely end up getting both lower braces eventually. Not sure about the 6 link set up as I'm concerned it will cause squeaks and rattles that I've read about from other members.
