Hi guys I have been reading this thread and I know I do not know what to do know. I have an 01 IS 300 and I am about to buy a intake but after reading this I do not know what to do? What would you guys recomend for me to do.

Should I just get a K&N filter or should I buy a intake with a heat guard what should I do.

Know I am confused

well i thought about it this way... aftermarket intake tube and open air fliter, you will lose torque (duno bout SRT one because it has piggyback ecu which leans out the a/f ratio, and duno bout the PLP/JoeZ intake tubing that replaces tube but keeps airbox) sounds mean at WOT, and allows more air to flow in at higher RPM's, great for pulling on the highway in the end, you lose torque but gain in high end power.

never been in a car with JoeZ intake or PLP so i cant tell you how those feel/sound.

what could I do to get the power off the line? I don't race but sometimes I like to see what I have off the line. I am really confused now about the intake part. You guys have helped me out a lot and I want to thank you guys.

 

Nitrious... or i believe to make it feel fast again u get the complete set up Intake,header,ypipe-exhaust, SAFC....
