gsteg: thanks for answering that... i just wanted to check how off the bias would be but it seems that its within reason
did the ls400 or supra brakes need any special mounting brackets? apart from the rca
and did they affect the abs in a negative way??

The LS400/supra brakes do not require any mounting brackets to fit. They are a direct fit as far as mounting location. Only the LS400 calipers need the RCAs. The Supra will fit without it. But you need to make sure you have the right wheels to fit the wide calipers. If you run OEM wheels, you'll probably need a 15mm spacer upfront to fit. If you have aftermarket wheels, make sure they are high-disk type.
The ABS function is not affected because our sensors detect lockup, not brake force.

when doing this swap, supra brakes or ls400, do you guy change MBC (master brake cylinder)? what about the brake balance front to rear? do u also install brake balancer?
p.s. supra tt brakes were made by sumitomo. its a company that makes brakes for race cars and race bikes. this is why the only car to beat the supra from 70-0 is a carrera gtJ guess whom work on it's brakes? supra brakes are way ahead of the ls400 no question about it.

but back on topic, I thought LS brakes were aluminum monoblock unlike the JZA80. So wouldn't it better? And I think balance will be off if you just do fronts.

Sumitomo also runs a huge bank in Japan. Also a huge trading company. They pretty much own a company in every commodity. google "zaibatsu" and you'll see what I mean.

Check out using the new IS or GS Brake Calipers. They are aluminum monoblock and will be a direct bolt on. They also are the same size as that of the Supra. Also, the stock Supra pads are great at not fading the road course in a BPU++++ Supra going from 130-45mph turn....

Just installed a set of ls400 calipers on my gs400 with the stock gs rotors. Stopping is night and day compared to before. I had to cut a few threads off the tie rod stud, and also had to shave a little bit on the caliper near the stud area. Also had to cut a little portion of the dust shield.
Now I brake in confidence.
I have a set for sale if anyone is interested, 210 shipped for a set of calipers with pads, shims, etc.
