my personal review on: TEIN CS vs. STOCK

FYI: well I have mine near the middle....leaning a little towards the stiffer settings (6 clicks away from stiffest settings)

handling: much better than stock...as soon as i took it through the pali...it was an obvious difference as far as turning capabilities (more confidence on turns)...body roll has definitely decreased from stock....

ride: well it is close to stock but you there is a lot more road feel imo...you can feel some of the bumps however the ride is not harsh at all

appearance: well for those who are running a fat setup with 19s or running 20s (out of spec)...this system is highly recommended...for those who have 19s w/o fat setup....you will prolly have to crank the fronts almost all the way down to acheieve the "no gap look". I think this system should fit my needs since I am getting my ***s soon. truthfully I prefer the 1/2-1 finger look. I'll admit...it looks nice when its slammed too hehe. This should have been my 1st mod....before my carson tuned exhaust. peace

Coilovers aren't just about slamming a car. I have Bilstein PSS coilovers (replacing my former eibach / bilstein setup) and they aren't all that much lower than the eibachs were, BUT they definitely handle better and are height adjustable which the eibach's can't offer.

Not everyone likes the 'slammed' look (like me) and doesn't want the hassle of the scrapes/etc that come along with it, I just want the other benefits.

but dave isn't the whole point of coilovers to be able to drop wayyyy lower than springs/shocks??

I always took that to be the case....

Not at all, although that's certainly what some folks buy them for.

Here's a thread that gives some better background on coilovers vs springs/shocks.
