Thats exactly how I did it, I was trying to explain that earlier. Good write up, Beats the heck out of all the extra BS removal. Takes about a 1/2 hour per side to swap coilovers.
lets see when i started.. 8pm-8am in the morning.. yup busted an all nighter. mainly because the tut has some missing tricks that would really help. but yea finally finished 8 in the morning slepted for 2 hours n then got ready for the bbq meet n then got lost.
just minor stuff like. when all the bolts are off. have someone stand on the rotors or rotor bolts so that the arm moves down so u can remove the shocks. just minor stuff.
one person should step on the rotor and also pull up the fender (putting more weight on the rotor so the LCA can be pushed down even more) if that doesnt work.. then STAND ON THE rotor.. just watch out for the dust cover...
then the other person should beable to pull out the shocks EASILY... no hammer is really needed.. but IF u really need to use a hammer.. i guess u can use it :\
the main thing is BOTH sides need to be jacked up (the whole front)..
to get the fronts off you take the big bolts that holds the UCA in place. you swing it out of the way and its game time. then you take a big pry bar and pull down on the LCA. it took me 4 hours to take apart two cars and swap suspensions on the two. so take apart two cars and reassemble two cars. the back is even easier. i think that took me about 1 hours total. all done with hand tools. no air.
