just minor stuff like. when all the bolts are off. have someone stand on the rotors or rotor bolts so that the arm moves down so u can remove the shocks. just minor stuff.

I just tried this and we got stuck on the fronts. Is the absolute only way to get the fronts out to remove the lower A arm?

I had a look at http://garage.projectraine.com/conte...ng/spring.html

and they take off the bracket surrounding the bottom of the strut. http://garage.projectraine.com/conte...g/spring11.gif

How easy is it to remove that bracket, I seem to recall the strut being in the way.

take ur time.... the hammer is ur best friend so yea..

try getting a pic of where your at.. it took me n my bro awhile to do this so yea.

also when ur getting the shocks out it helps to have someone stand on the wheel stud or rotor to make the control arm move down.

well hmm

after u removed this

BOTH sides are jacked up (the whole front)

one person should step on the rotor and also pull up the fender (putting more weight on the rotor so the LCA can be pushed down even more) if that doesnt work.. then STAND ON THE rotor.. just watch out for the dust cover...

then the other person should beable to pull out the shocks EASILY... no hammer is really needed.. but IF u really need to use a hammer.. i guess u can use it :\

the main thing is BOTH sides need to be jacked up (the whole front)..

thats our method atleast :\

Am I the only one who can't see the pics?

Btw, I don't remember if I commented before, but this is an epic writeup!

to get the fronts off you take the big bolts that holds the UCA in place. you swing it out of the way and its game time. then you take a big pry bar and pull down on the LCA. it took me 4 hours to take apart two cars and swap suspensions on the two. so take apart two cars and reassemble two cars. the back is even easier. i think that took me about 1 hours total. all done with hand tools. no air.
