Default Clunking!!!

My front suspension is driving me nuts. Both corners make a clunking sound when the wheels are turned and suspension is compressed. Usually happens when turning sharply into my subterranean garage. I've had it to the dealer 3 times for this. They retorque bolts etc and it is minimized for a few weeks, then comes back. I have a mind to demand they replace the whole front end. Any suggestions?

A couple of things to check:

1. Sway bar mounting bolts/end link bolts--happened to me:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=108814

2. Front strut mounts (they mount to the frame of the car--you can see them from the engine bay). If they've failed, they'll make a similar sound.

Good luck.

Hey everyone, guess what? It's BAAAAAAAAAACK!! But now it's more of a groaning than a clunking. It's LOUD. I think it's time for an E500.

No, just tightened up all the bolts. I printed the post and showed them what to tighten. I have identified that it's coming from the left side, and happens when the suspension is compressed while the wheels are turned. When I enter my office building, which is 3 floors downward spiral to my spot it sounds like hell!

had the same problem....dealer replaced strut tower stuff under warranty.....you should still be under warranty too.....take it to another dealer if you hafta...or talk to the manager at the dealership and request that this be done, becuase if it's under warranty, it shouldn't cost the dealership anything...and it would be in their interest to replace the parts since they're probably spending time on this and you're not paying b/c it's under warranty
