And Drew, you gotta get EDFC. Too much fun being able to have cruising settings and cornering/freeway curves settings.

and don't tempt me about the edfc again!
Hameed - I tried 6/8 today thanks, and I can't put my finger on why but I like it better! So I'm cruising with that for now. I had a chance to 'test' my setup tonight on a curve I know *VERY* well, it's an overpassing curving ramp off one interstate (I85N) onto another interstate (285W) that I've taken near 80 before
, although I don't recommend doing it at that speed! Anyway tonight I went around it about 75 I'd say, and it felt VERY controlled, so
.
I haven't noticed settlement, nor have I been looking, nor do I really care if the car drops 1/8" or whatever. I'm enjoying the new "bad ***" look, LOL
Neo, you stalking me? You know my rim/tire setup exactly, haha.
Amy, I've never heard of Zeal, sorry! I've been in Gavin's IS300 with the HKS Hypermax II and they're AWESOME and comfortable and quiet! But being a gadget freak I had to try the EDFC, hehe.

on my coilovers the JIC MAGIC FLT2A's. they have 15 clicks of adjustment, and my favorite is in the middle of the range with the rear end 2 clicks softer than the front.
with mine 15 is the stiffest and 0 is the softest, kinda the opposite of yours. i've got mine set at 8 in front and 6 in rear. so as near as i can tell that is what you've got yours set at now.
this spring i'm going to go up a couple of clicks of stiffness and see if i can stand it. i tried softer already and came back to the middle setting.
the EDFC sounds like fun
hey DREWGS4 i really like this description

Also, I ride with no spare so I am top heavy meaning most of my weight is up front. The reason I go stiffer in the front is to adjust for the engine weight. I go softer in the back because under hard cornering.....the shocks "flex" has to compress to keep me into the turn without sliding out. I locked up most of the rear play with my TOM's 6-piece links, rear STB and rear chassis brace. I am very stiff in the back...and the car needs to flex a little through the suspension....so keeping it a little softer helps.
The downside to this is the ride is much firmer. Over uneven bumps you WILL feel the impact.
bit keep updating this its fun to read your comments

Tonight I was out with my wife in the car for the first time, and I explained what the new suspension and EDFC were all about. I then set the car in 6/8, 12/12 and 0/0 modes and she could immediately tell the difference and was impressed. 12/12 is definitely more comfortable on highway than the other settings! 6/8 is more sporty, and 0/0 is very aggressive and you feel every imperfection. I'm really pleasantly surprised it's such a dramatic difference across the settings.

Can these settings be saved in memory so that you just before a corner you can hit one button and change it from say 12/12 to 6/8 or anything else? The versatility of this is just so awesome!!!

So far I've been cautious about changing settings only while I'm still driving straight and not accelerating or decelerating, because for some reason I'm thinking it might be more load on the EDFC motors or the dampers themselves to change under other circumstances, but it probably doesn't matter. And remember it's not instantaneous either - if you went from 12/12 to 0/0 it's going to take about 2 seconds total I'd guess. On mine at least it does the front first then the rear, not all 4 at once.I keep mentioning 12/12 and of course it does go up to 16/16. I've not tried it that soft yet, but I expect it will be pretty floaty at that setting. You can also tell it to use a 32 step mode instead of 16 - this isn't a wider range of damping, it's just finer control.
Yes, great thread indeed.....actually its not because now I am forced to go out and spend another $400 or so and get a EDFC put in. Not only that but I have to once again change out my UGO STB. Has anyone heard from Manaray if EDFC works with UGO since he ran this setup?
Thanks Paul for making me spend more money......
Rominl are you planning on getting EDFC....
