i bout to pull the strings on a sc400. and the car is in excellent condition, including the paint. the first mod i want to get is exhaust. i want to go wit straight pipes. will i pass emissions if i put this setup? if not, can someone point me in the right direction as to getting an exhaust with that similar sound?

If you keep the factory cats, you should still be able to pass emissions. Keep in mind that straight pipes on an SC400 are pretty loud. It sounds great though.

Another route you can go would be to go with 2.5 inch exhaust piping with a resonator delete and a set of Magnaflow mufflers. Make sure you keep the cats on the car.
