I have a blown header gasket. Its located on the left side. It ruining my gas as well as my eyes and nose and most of all the sound of the exhaust is bad. I really don't know any mechanics that are trustworthy to work on my lexus. Does anyone here know of anyone that can do it? Or better yet if you know how to fix plz let me know. I need this fix as of last week. Thanks in advance

Chris.

P.S. this job will be paid. Im not looking for a freebee

It is a "Head" gasket and not a header gasket... Different things.

That is a pretty big job and not something you would typically do in your driveway. Are there no certified Lexus/Toyots mechanics in your area?

Not a cheap fix

Sorry dude, I'm here in LA. I go to this place out here to an independent shop that specializes in Lexus's. I don't know anyone in TX. Good luck.

I highly recommend Jason of JP Importz. He use to work at Park Place Lexus as a certified technician until he opened his own shop 4-5 yrs ago. Tell him Jimmy w/the IS350 & FJ Cruiser sent you. In fact, I know he's on this forum as a board sponsor but forgot his username.

another option is Davenport Motor Company - you can ask for Jimy Wright or Daniel Davenport - @ 972-612-3377. I've used them for 5 years and have been very pleased with their service and prices. They have a location in Plano and also near Love Field.
