Default Help please - AZ Guys

Fellow AZ'ers,

I just traded in my ES350 for an IS350 and I am looking to install an aftermarket exhaust. Rather than tackle the install myself I want to use a reputable shop in the valley.

I am leaning towards Tanabe Medallion (like the low sound and its a quality product).

I have checked out Toy Box and have worked in the past with Apex (who hasn't). Can anyone give me a good referral. I plan to purchase the exhaust from the shop in hopes that they will give me a break on the install fee.

All help is appreciated.

Well, I would say try Intense motorsports since i've bought from them before and they were awesome, but I heard they only work on project cars now and no personal rides. I am not sure about this though.

Its actually fairly easy to install yourself if you wanted too. I did mine and we didn't really have any troubles except that one bolt was super stuck and didn't want to come off, but since your car is very very new, I don't think you should have much trouble.

I've heard the same thing about Intense.

I'm sure we could gather some guys for a meet/install session..

Yea .

Toybox does good work but they can get pricey. Pretty much any shop that you get it from will install, since it is not difficult at all. By the way, nice choice on the medallion touring. I have that on my GS and I love it . I actually bought my exhaust from hp autoworks in tempe. They always seem to have the lowest prices on tanabe exhaust. When I bought my exhaust, they had the lowest price, even compared to prices on the internet. As far as install, I don't know because I installed it. Install was pretty smooth except, like marvin said, one or two stubborn bolts. Either way good luck.

Where is HP autoworks located at? I just looked at their site and I think I might order my springs through them.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. It sounds like I should tackle this on my own and save some cash.

I have done bolt-ons before (intake, header) but on Hondas and Mitsus. If Lexus is no different then I can do this.

BTW, isn't HP located in the old Apex R Motorsports shop?

i heard hp autoworks went out of business and a fellow CL member here had a big problem getting his money back from the owner when he tried to buy some wheels from HP.

I would suggest going to Element Motorsport, they do a ton of wheels but they also do "go-fast" parts too.

Their number is 480-966-9044.

The owner also has a GS400. woot!

Thanks for the heads up Cliffud. I will check out Element tomorrow during my lunch break.
