Default New Guy in RVA with an RCF

I just purchased a used 2019 RCF a few weeks ago and really enjoy the car so far. My previous ride was a 2017 911 S which I owned for 3 years. I change out cars often (too often for my wife) and enjoy the variety of car ownership. I am a performance car guy and the RCF scratches that itch. I am thinking about an aftermarket exhaust but have difficulty picking one out from you tube videos. I would love to hear various RCF exhausts in the wild. I live in RVA and wonder if there is anyone local to me??? Hit me up if you can accommodate my request. I am willing to travel a reasonable distance as well.

Thanks
Al

Posting in regional, I recently picked up a used GS-F, and could use some regional help.

Anyone happen to have their OEM mufflers handy from a 2016+ GS-F, 2015+ RC-F and possible 2015+ GS450? Previous owner had the resonators taken out, and mufflers deleted. Having a hard time passing inspection in MD. And wanting to wait a bit prior to going to an aftermarket setup, want to get this thing registered fully first.

If you happen to know someone, or are in any FB groups that has these laying around. I'd buy them so fast.

Woops just now seeing the reply above from someone else's similiar situation (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sou...l#post10620594)

My friend, and fellow RCF owner on this forum ONLY uses Pohaka service - opposed to Lindsay, Richmond. Plus if you're that close to Pohanka as I am (4 miles) its convenient for sure. I also use Mobil 1 in all our Lexus vehicles, though I'm a huge Amsoil fan in my Dodge Cummins. Just climbed over 10k in my F and may swap to Amsoil Signature Series on next drop.

If you guys above talking about wheels are interested in BC Forged, let me know. I've done some serious custom building with their primary Sales Rep who's been absolutely fantastic IMHO. Just had a photo shoot done for them to use on their website and social media platforms. If anyone seeks a true Car Photographer hit me up. The young lady does it for a living and has been in several magazines too!

As far as "Meets" go, the season doesnt bring as many out now, but you'll always find a decent crowd out at Dulles Landing Dunkin Donuts plaza on Sunday mornings. I'm still going until first sign of snow!
Saw this response way too late, thankfully I've put so few miles on my RC so far. Yeah, I'm about 5 miles away from Pohanka Chantilly. I think my next plans are working with PTuning in Manassas for a CAI and exhaust system

Update from a very old thread. My apologies! Have either of of you two been to Pohanka lately been? Either the Service Dept or Sales? I went Friday after talking to my Service Rep/Consultant/ Writer. Who knows the politically correct name. If you havnt met "Reza" yet he not only knows the value of a RCF but just bought a 2020 in White HIMSELF!! ..All I needed was a new Inspection Sticker. So here's my issue:

When I pulled up under that Service Lane, NOT ONE person had a mask or gloves on. When the Valet asked me for my Fob - I said "No mask or gloves? No fob then" ..Im 200x more afraid of this virus than I was in Iraq!!
Walked over to Sales to setup our 2017 RX return, and my jaw hit the floor to see NOBODY wearing either gloves or mask! How the hell can this fly, how did they become exempted as an Essential Business and NOT follow ANY Protection? Unlike every other Lexus Dealers I pulled up had something informative about their response. WTF OVER??? Not cool.

I have several great Sales & Service Reps if youd like one - but then again this post is VERY antiquated. Are you ready to buy or is it too late? Hit me back AND do this just for kicks. Go to the Google Reviews - Low to High and your head will spin at all the complaints! UGHHHH. I honestly think I'll be looking elsewhere for wifes new lease.

Current RCF Owner in NOVA (Fairfax Area) here. I do know of a few other RCF Owners, but seeing if perhaps Other Models are present as well. We own a RX350 as well..

Should anyone need Dealer Contacts for Service, or even Sales, I would be happy to assist with who we use, and what I believe to be a genuinely solid one (Pohanka Lexus)

Car looks great, I don't know if service has declined since you first started the thread. However, Pohanka in Chantilly was pretty awful when I took my SC400 in a couple months back. I filed a complaint and still never received even an acknowledgement from the service department manager. I am hesitant on taking my SC430 for service, I am in Gainesville and considering driving all the way to Alexandria.

Contracted w local Tesla and other big names in Autopark. Never seen more McLarens at one time together as well. Hit me up via PM for details and a proper referral ok? That is if you are seeking to do your Lexus - which model do you have?*

Addition: Yesterday, hit a friggin pothole on 495 heading toward Belvoir. Felt harder than any other hundred I hit in this brutal Metro DC area. Quickly switched dash over to PSI Readout and saw the Right Front start dropping PSI slowly.(20) Thankfully was near my old buddies shop who treats my Cummins. When he sprayed on that soapy water it blew a huge bubble right away! Not only dented the rim, but it sliced the sidewall. Didn't dawn on me until opened the trunk (though Ive read about it many times here) These cars don't even come with a damn Donut Spare!! (HUGE thumbs down to Lexus for this....... ) That joke of a Fix-A-Flat stuff they include wouldn't have worked anyway. A lonnnnng day ensued tracking back and forth from Lorton to Chantilly to get Stock Wheels & Tires back onto the F to make it back home! Feeling a little upset with every aspect involved in this dilemma. Now must have tire removed to inspect Wheel for replacement - there goes a new(er) Pilot 4S to I-495 !!

Now THAT is a nice Bubble!

Unfortunately very late to the post but I "heard" of stories where people contact VDOT and provide proof of everything and they reimburse them for any damages the roads cause. I had this problem MANY times when I was driving stock wheels on my old BMW 545, eventually switched them out for AvantGarde wheels and never had a problem.

I am out by Manassas and would love to be in touch with anyone else familiar with working on Lexus cars. I've got a 2006 SC430 that has done well. Recently I've been fighting rodents who are eating wires in the engine bay. Currently they have eaten through the Ignition Coil wires to the ignition coil one the passenger side, second from the rear (#5 I think). I've got to see if I can muster up some wire repair skills to get this one fixed. No idea of the hundreds of dollars this would cost me at the shop! Anyone with any knowledge of repairing/splicing wires into the engine control harness would be very much appreciated!

As a side, I was amazed to see that rodents eating wires in the engine bay is a regular problem.
Have you tried deer and rodent granulars or mothballs to try and keep the rodents away. I had went overboard in my garage two years ago with mothballs, didn't have a single rodent all winter long. However my wife complained about the smell and requested I dial back on the moth *****. Cleaned out my garage 3/4 weeks ago to park my new SC430 in the garage, I saw the remains of either a squirrel or mouse. This past week she saw a garden snake out in the front yard and been on edge going into the garage. I said to her so what were you saying about me using so many mothballs around the house and garage. No comment from her then.

Yeah I am about 5 mins from PTuning, very solid group of guys. I have taken a few of my cars in for minor things, have some major work planned for the fall on my SC400 with them. I also speak with Patrick.

Are you seeking to BUY a Stock Exhaust or just BORROW one to get thru Inspection? Mine is a 2017 though.

Had my Armytrix Valvetronic installed and Dyno at Moore Automotive.. They just moved to a new location which is fantastic! IMHO they charged me a wicked good price w 3 Dyno Pulls.

My Service Consultant treats me like a VIP and matter of fact got himself a 2020 RC-F so he's been tapping into all my resources himself.. His name is REZA and don't ask me to pronounce his last name.. Just tell him Brendan Fitzgerald w the Blue RCF referred you and he'll put you on his A List for sure! Here's his pic off the Pohanka website.

There ya go brother! His Info is above!
Hope it works out for ALL of you.

Gunny Out.

Ps. Just got a 2020 ES Fsport Last night for my wife! Returned her leased RX350 and got the ES for a KILLER price so if you guys need a truly solid Sales Rep. My guy doesn't like the back n forth stuff anymore than we do.. How he pulled off this loaded sedan for the cost is UNKNOWN

Finally found my section New to the forum but definitely not to Lexus. I just moved to Richmond, VA and not opposed to driving an hour or two for an F meet or anything car related, doesn't seem to be much of a "car scene" here. I saw some cars & coffee meets up in NoVA I'd like to check out. I'll be sure to come say hey if I see another F!
