Hey Mumbles, if you get one we can use 'em on the way up. I got the T6400 and it seems really nice (although I can't test it since I only have one ).

I think I'm gonna go get the headset or something for it so I don't have to hold it while driving. If I have that, and since it does VOX, I should just be able to talk to you guys while driving! That will be cool.

 

I'm going Bit, I think I'll follow Jazziz for the looks and I want to arrive during daylight.

 

Something else to consider guys before the trip:

Simple Maintenace

- Make sure tires at correct pressures
- All fluids are at appropriate levels
- If you haven't had one of your scheduled maintenances recently, and are due, might as well get it done before the trip.

You know, basic stuff that'll take maybe 30 minutes to check and correct if need be.

Probably nothing to worry about, but on a road trip, and maybe some 'spirited' driving, a little extra checking can go a long way.

 

hey, just a note to anyone that is interested, but.....I will have an extra room available at my townhouse in Knoxville (78 miles away) and if someone wants to lay claim to the extra room, they are more than welcome!

Headset and NiMH battery and charger ordered for my Motorola. This meet has been a great excuse to buy gadgets.

I didn't break down and splurge on a digital camcorder yet... that would be more than an intake and L-Tuned springs/shocks! :eek:

 

I am thinking about buying one of those radios. When we moved to Atlanta from Dallas we drove both cars and used similiar 2-way radios during the trip. I took them back to Radio Shack after we were finished with them. Maybe I will buy one and take it back also.

 

You know, I think WalMart has the same rental policy.
