Anyways, , I've neglected to rotate my tires, and have now worn two down to where I need to replace them NOW. Made an appt. today at Discount Tire on Alpharetta Hwy to have them installed. Unfortunately, the spare I'm using on one wheel (the tread on my BFG was coming off!!) has somehow snapped off one of the wheel studs, and I think two of the others are loose and working their way out. The one shop I have called doesn't take appointments, and they can't do it today. I'm in ATL now, obviously, but I'm trying to get back to Knoxville for my classes tomorrow. I NEED HELP!!!
So, is there anyone who is ready, willing, and able to drive up here to help me install the studs my/our-selves? I'll buy you lunch/dinner!! PLEASE CALL ME IF YOU CAN HELP OR KNOW OF A SHOP AND/OR WHERE TO GET THE STUDS. Car is a 1993 SC300. Thanks guys!!
Cell Phone: 770-757-8444, leave a message - I have crappy service in my house.

Also, is SELOC.net down, or does my comp just blow?

What a bastard... anyways, I got my tires taken care of. I found plenty of studs with enough searching around - I went to pick up 3 and the dude had six. And yes, I'm going to replade all of the rear studs as a safety precaution. Better safe than sorry. However, now I've got to miss class (hehe, oops) tomorrow to have the studs installed.
Well, the stud is Lexus PN:... crap, I threw it away. Well, anyways, get them from Napa, AutoZone, Advance Auto, or Pep Boys. The Lexus studs are $5 each and the "generic" studs are $0.98! Apparently it's not that big of an issue to fix, but requires a good bit of time - 30 mins to an hour per wheel depending on how many studs are being replaced and how smoothly the operation goes.
Cost of Labor:
I got one qoute for $70 to replace ALL TEN rear studs, and another qoute for $75 todo all five on one rear wheel.... it varies to say the least. I wasn't able to get it down today (except for the $75 place - Napa), so I'm stuck in ATL another night; I'll get 'em fixed in the morn and post about it when I get a chance tomorrow.
400DGRZ - I think I remember PMing you about something on SELOC; when it's back up, maybe take a look? Thanks!
Don't go to Goodyear on Holcomb Bridge Rd.... $90/hour labor charge. I forgot to ask them their rate before handing them the keys... that was a $25 dollar mistake. Anyways, I got all of my crap sorted out and am now back in TN. Unfortunately, the mechanic said my rear brake pads were nearly gone - I've only had them a year or so, so that blows. Oh well, the epic that is my car continues...
