I contacted the Sand Key park folks.
They have Sept 19th (Sunday) open to reserve the pavilion/picnic area.
It has it's own parking lot, but you still have to feed the meters.
3 charcoal grills (I can still throw my gas grill in the truck too), restroom, and it's a covered pavilion.
It's pretty well booked, but there's the above opening and it's not as busy down there after September.

I say we wait for a date in October if they have any. Possibly a Saturday afternoon. I know how much everyone likes the NFL so we wouldnt' want it on a Sunday.

I’m sure we all can pitch in... Either by having everyone pay pal something, that way one can go out prior to the meet and buy most of the essential stuff.
I don’t mind doing that job, but since I couldn’t make it to the past 2 meets, and none of you guys have met me yet, I’m sure it wont be the most comforting idea to send me money blindly like that
(I understand, I’m/was the central Florida Lincolns president, (i was also the youngest one.. haha) but I know how hard it is to get a meet rolling).

guys if i may ask
is their any possiblity of doing this in orlando... if so i am sure most of the south florida posse including myself would attend withou fail.. tampa is great but the drive up is like 4 hrs there and 4 hrs back . doing that in one day after hanging out in the sun all day is torture.. orlando for most of us down here is about 2.5 hrs give or take and can be done easily...
i am sure maybe 20 of us would commit and even pay to preregister if its at a park or something
