We are super excited to launch a new way to enjoy the ClubLexus community from your mobile devices!

It's still a very early beta but beginning today if you're logged in and visiting the Community from your mobile device, you can now choose a dark mode theme in addition to the standard 'bright' theme we've always had 😎

We are looking to you for feedback about the experience. Being that you are one of the very first communities we're trying this out on, we don't expect to have gotten it perfect so we appreciate any feedback you're able to provide.

We also recognize that some of you would like to see a dark mode on desktop, we do too! Our first goal is to perfect this mobile experience and our hope is to release dark mode for all browsers once the summer is over. Thank you all in advance for your understanding.

Please log in from your mobile, turn the dark mode on using the Hamburger menu and let us know your feedback!

I have tried out the new dark mode. I really like it. My suggestion would be to add a little colour in the square red area I have drawn in. But not a big deal TBH.

I did have a good laugh at the “Hamburger.menu” description lol

it is a little hard to differentiate between two posts in dark mode. iMO.

 

I use dark mode whenever and wherever I can! And now, I can finally use it here too.👍🏽🙌🏽

I'm on an iPhone using Chrome browser.

 

I would tone down the saturation of the blue on the stickies. The contrast is a little hard on the eyes. Other than that it looks great 👍

 

Ok, I’ll be the dumb one. What is the “hamburger menu”. I would like to change to the Dark mode.

I suspect it would be helpful to the team if folks could state their device being used, what browser and confirm you are viewing the site in a mobile website setting, not desktop

 

iPads do not have a mobile browser, they have a full desktop browser. You will need to manually enter the mobile style if you wish to access the dark mode on one.

This can be achieved by asking your iPad to request the mobile website from ClubLexus. To achieve this, click on the 'aA' in the nav bar, and from there you can 'select mobile website'.

Update photos to delete backgrounds. If you see here. The stock photo of the SC has a white background and it just looks clunky. Should have no background so the silver car pops on the darker template.

this is a great idea, do you think we could crowdsource these images from the Community? Does anyone have mad photochop skills they want to flex?

 

There’s plenty of photos online I would think. In fact. that very same photo can be used. It just needs to be edited and saved. I am not a photoshopper but I know it can be done very easily.

there is a transparent background SC in the main forum index, it's the 2nd gen one that's nested inside the broader SC section that's missing. So this is an easy fix. Looking at the main forum index, most of those images appear to already be transparent and we must have got them from somewhere, so should be repeatable.

 

So very happy with this!
