Default Paging Issue

I notice there is often an extra page on some longer threads that I am unable to get to. If I click it then it just sends me to the 2nd to last page. If I click a link to a specific post (such as from a quote) it also often takes me to the wrong page and I will have to manually go back one. Not a huge issue but kind of annoying and would vastly improve my use if it could be fixed.

One example: This thread says it has 409 pages but if I click on page 409 it goes to page 408 instead and I can't get to 409. I'm guessing 409 doesn't actually exist so I'm not missing any posts, but still annoying...

Furthermore, if I click a link to go to a specific post from the below quote (or elsewhere) like the following then it sends me to the wrong page and I don't see the post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...l#post10130787

That's most likely because some posts were removed or deleted but the page number never rolls back. It happens to lots of threads.

he’s got it, usually only evident on long threads like that one. Next post made it’ll self correct.

I've been having the issue with the same thread(s) for awhile now so I don't think any self correcting is going on or working.

Despite the valid explanation for what is happening, can it be fixed?

shouldn’t happen unless the thread isn’t getting responses or until the last post on the page which happens at ...the end of every page break of replies.

These replies which cause the issue are still there just removed by the member who posted (or moderator). I’ll ask but don’t think there is a fix

we are adding infinite scroll which might, but unsure if that will be on just the forum page or within the thread too

Dave this is happening in the Debate forum too. Same thing.

Also the pages now only show like one post in the view of the whole page. I've tried compatibility view setting both add and delete. And making/changing the page % smaller but does not change. This was not happening before.
