I am really pissed off. Remember enginyr ?? Who doesn't. Well anyways he sent me a file through AIM and said it was a hella funny joke. Well it turned out to be a virus, and i had to do a whole system recovery, and lost 9 GB of info from the last 6 months. What a jerk. If i were in SoCal I would go kcik his a*#. So why was he banned ? For doing stupid Sh*% like this? Sorry for all the bad words, but for the last 4 hours i have been trying to fix my computer. Finally fixed I IM'd him and he said it was a joke virus. Very Funny Steve. Just wait till im down in LA.

 

what a punk! i never talked to the guy, but i knew who he was. he was the "lexus" logo crazy kind of guy. i'm sure he'll get what's coming to him. besides, most of CL members are in CA. And, it shouldn't be too hard to find him...

Before you get pissed at Steve, think about this:
He probably has a virus on his computer that he doesn't even know about. There are viruses outthere that will log into outlook express and send emails to your entire contact list which is probably what happened. Was there anything in the subject?

 

I heard about those too, but I don't think that's the case. Enginyr got on AIM, IMed him, and then sent him the file. Those viruses can get onto Outlook and even AOL but They can't IM, just E-mail in secret.

Therefore that's screwed up.

 

so again, why was he banned? and why is it a secret so that it cannot be posted?

i do recall that he listed his Konig rims on e-bay and called them BBS, he posted that his Lowenhart rims were forged when they were cast, and his site explains how grills are to be "chromed" like he was actually chroming them instead of taking off paint...

but none of these things got him banned. i don't really know him and don't care about him being banned, but i wonder what it takes to get banned? (besides threatening a mod)

I do really wish you would stop digging up ugly old posts like picking at scabs sometimes Johnny. Useful posts that are helpful to new members I'm cool with and don't mind, but stuff like this is... neither a nice nor funny thing to do IMO.

HOWEVER, since this question comes up from time to time, I'm going to answer it and close this thread once and for all.

Steve was banned for a large number of issues ... there are like three pages of problem threads about him in the moderator forum. I understand that he is also banned at IS300.net, which is no small feat.

Just some of the stuff includes regular and recurring issues with non-approved vendor sales and promotion (lexusgrill.com was his first big thing), I think there was a physical threat issue with Manaray., definitely posted a lot of porno photos, etc etc. Most of this was before my time as moderator so I didn't have to deal with it. I did have to deal with his rejoining CL over and over and over again (I counted 11 times under different screen names). Theft of images from members and so on.

I think he has turned / is turning over a new leaf and is somewhat more professional now. I personally would not buy anything from him because of the way he disrespected ClubLexus in the past, and because of many issues I've read about on this and other forums - I have a long memory. Other folks have had decent luck with him - more power to you. However, the antics and recurring problems he's caused in the past make him unwelcome here on our forum.
