Sudden Flood of Thread Subscription Emails

hey guys,
we're trying to get to the bottom of this.
Are you getting reminders that are all the same, or different? are they for threads that you did subscribe to?
are you getting daily updates/instant updates as well, or just weekly ones, no matter what your settings say?

I am new here and my inbox is flooded. last night I got 5 emails at 3am. If it helps, It seems to be any thread that you POST on. I have not subscribed to any threads yet I have 18 post?

They are emails notifying me that members have posted in my subscribed threads. It's one email per thread (not post) over a one week time frame. I disabled my email notifications when this happened last week and I still got a flood of emails this morning.
oh see its different for me, its like everytime I post on a thread and someone else post on it as well, I get an email letting me know what the person wrote.
I have no thread subscriptions.

I checked my profile options and just noticed that under notifications, weekly emails for subscriptions was checked. I never checked this so I suspect some system change toggled this option. I changed it to no email notifications and we'll see if the problem goes away next weekend.

Hi out there,
I readily admit that I am not much of a computer guy.
For the last few weeks I have been getting emails about each thread that I look at on this site; at least I think it is only the ones that I look at.
I have no idea why this is happening or what I might have done to get it started.
I really do not need anymore emails clogging up my computer.
Any thoughts as to what is going on?

Subscribed, but not.
Lately been getting numerous emails per day about being subscribed to numerous threads when I don't believe I'm subscribed. I unsubscribe from them all and a few days later it happens again. Is this happening to anyone else?
