okay,
a quick observation and suggestion...

so i have my HID kit for sale that I used in my SC300. i posted it in the SC300/400 section because i knew it would fit this vehicle (no idea on fitment on others as i don't own any other lexus). the post then gets moved to the "General Classified" section which i totally understand IF other models can also use the same bulb and is plug and play such as in my car.

my problem though is my CAR part is now lumped with say someone selling sneakers or a watch. i would suggest in creating a "General Auto Classified" and a "General Non-Auto Classified", either that or don't move the post as it makes it much harder to sell the car part.

Obviously being a car site we promote sales of car parts first, so if the general auto parts sales are dominate on priority, but the general classifieds are ten fold in volume........ Well I wouldn't want to be the one to flip that coin on which one gets to be the sub forum.

My suggestion is that the general classifieds are more than enough, anything else is over classifying. Sure it would be great to have your HID's without sneakers beside them, but out of everything on the first page of the general classifieds there's 2 headlights and an air filter out of 32 listings. General auto classifieds = CL's newest black hole. Volume doesn't support the idea. If we were much more swamped with this issue it would be considerable.

At the moment..... we need a friggin cell phone/MP3 sales sub forum. That should be General Classifieds name.

 

if u are leaving general classifieds as "general" then i would suggest not moving auto parts posts to that forum. like i mentioned, i was selling the HIDs from my SC300, thus posting it on that forum. if the same rule applies, then the denso fuel pump i have listed could also be classified as "general" as it could fit other vehicles as well although we all know that it would be used for turbo SC300 or GS300. same with LSD's, electronics, etc.
