Default classified suggestion.

dont know if this has been proposed or not but would be cool if the seller would include what state of residence they are living in, in the thread title.

We're going to do even better than that (in testing now) by adding 'prefixes' to the classifieds where members can pick the state from a dropdown list. That also lets you search the classifieds from advanced search using that state prefix to get all sales local(ish) to you.

Look for that to roll out within a week, along with refreshed classified rules and iTrader.

We've rolled out the changes I mentioned above.
  1. A refresh of our classified rules, spelling out what a vouch is and clarifying some rules based on recent experience. These rules are posted at the top of every classified forum
  2. A mandatory 'state code' prefix has been added to all classified forum posts. This state code can be searched on to find FS items nearer you using the advanced search feature of our forum. Old FS posts will still be without the state.
  3. iTrader has been implemented and the buyer/seller feedback forum closed. I've posted the Club Lexus rules for iTrader at the top of this forum and the buy/sell feedback forum. The feedback forum will stay out there as an archive you can search.

We're likely to add one more security feature which will cut down on the spammers & scammers by requiring 30 days membership before you can post in the classifieds.

Hi, sorry no we're going to keep the prefix it at the state level. You can add 'socal' or 'norcal' to the thread title of the item and somebody searching for CA items would see that right away though.

Also, another suggestion, to make it easier to sift through. Separating the WTB from the FS stuff....

Sam, sorry but we're not going to do that. Don't have time to write up a 'why' but I've posted it in the past if you care to search this forum.
