Lately, I have been buying stuff on CL and its been a disappointment. I have made prompt purchase and never hear from the seller again!!!! whats going on guys?!?! Why is everyone trying to make pity small amount of money?!?! This is BS, I barely want to purchase anything selling on CL now. Please vent your anger if you experienced the same ordeal.

I had to lose a lot from a wheel deal here...Wheels were claimed to be 9/10 condition, would clear my bbk...but came with weld marks, redrilled holes, unusable tires...seller assured me everything was good, until I got them and ignored me...

but, the majority of the sellers here are straightup people...

We have a buyer seller feedback forum for specific positive or negative outcomes of sales
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/buyer-seller-feedback-forum-147/

If you're going to post negative feedback, we require a 30 day waiting period while you try contact the seller, work through timing and shipping issues, etc. We also require a link to the sale in the classifieds.

Please be cautious and use your common sense when buying something expensive from someone you don't know here on ClubLexus.

Here are some easy-to-do tips I typed up that can at least help mitigate some of the risk:

1) Search on posts by sellers to see what they've bought/sold in the past. Were there any issues other people posted about? PM somebody else who bought something big from them in the past to see if it turned out OK.

2) Do some research on the person using the information you have available. Have they been a member on ClubLexus long? Do they just sell stuff or do they really participate (so that people might know them better)?

3) Demand pictures of the item before you buy. Get full size, well lit images of the items and close ups of any blemishes before buying.

4) Have someone local to the seller on CL check out the merchandise for you if it's a big/expensive item. Make sure it's what is claimed and in the described condition. If they'll do it, see if they will even see it get boxed up and shipped to you

5) Insist on insurance on fragile items that are shipped.

6) If the item is really expensive, use an escrow service

The ClubLexus Marketplace is a great place to get a good or great deal on many items. If something's too good to be true, question it before you buy.

ClubLexus assumes no ownership or risk in your purchases in the Marketplace - the transaction is between you and the seller

Hey man,

I recently purchased something also that I wasn't overly happy with. It wasn't a huge deal but it made me mad that the seller has not returned my PM 2 weeks later. I have sent him emails and a PM with no response.

It is a shame that we have such a stand up group of people here but there are a few who are going to ruin it for us all.

I really do think we need the trader rating here.

I recently made a post about feedback for online companies but I didn't get any response from the mods.
