I was thinkin earlier that it would be a good idea to start a lexus club chat room that we can all go into and chat real time....on aim or yahoo, whatever it may be.....would be really nice to interact with eachother...what do you guys think about that?

 

Good idea, but if there are tons of people on there, then there will be 50,000 Q's with no answer. too many people talking at one time. It would have to be set up just like the forum. Just my insite

I agree with you john i like this forum thing (im new to it =x) i used to be in chatrooms alot in the past and its a good way to get to know eachother better...conversations are more involved and everyone can just relax and have a good time...i think having a club lexus chatroom that we can visit on the regular would be nice =]

 

I agree also, as long as it is basic chat, instead of here's 50 questions, someone please answer inbetween all the other convo.

nah, I prefer the forum setup as is....its just easier to get all the good info and feedback without having to fight through all the other conversations going on. And then you might have a lot of great info going on in the chat room, and it'll get lost to those of us that dont really like the whole chatroom thing (well, speaking for myself because I type too slow and can never get a word in edge wise in chatrooms )

 

We used to have a chat room on CL.
It was pretty good, got to know a lot of people better.

 

If its not gonna use alot of bandwidth then i say its a great idea

 

well to bad CL could make a javascript chat room then we all could hang out...

either that or we could open an irc, aim, or yahoo, shoot i'll host it i have a laptop that could stay on forever to keep the room open

 

hell if CL isnt gonna do it, we can do it...and josh thats a good idea... a perm chat either on irc yahoo or aim would be a really good idea.....let's brainstorm ...we can make it work =]

well either way we need to get a consensus to open one chat room on 1 program (yahoo,aim,irc, msn, etc)

if dont do that then we'll have ppl scattered through different programs.... i vote for either yahoo or aim

miRC would be best for it since you dont need somebody to host. Just figure out which channel and anybody can join in with the mirc program.

 

i like either IRC because u can give people power...Ops, voice, peon etc. you can also moderate the room....kick people out, ban them for disorderly conduct....which is also very good... a good way to keep a controled room.....aim is nice too...eventhough u cant do as much as u can with irc. WE NEED EVERYONE TO VOTE ON WHICH PROGRAM THEY RATHER HOLD THE CHAT ON.....MAJORITY TAKES IT.
